Owner and director of Aristides Fine Jewels and Bambino Diamonds, Claire Aristides is one classy mum. Always immaculately presented with the best jewels (of course), Claire has recently given birth to her second baby, Cleo. Joining her incredibly stylish brother Enzo, 6, already the most dapper young man, Claire’s a mum on the go who likes to keep busy but knows her limits and what’s most important – her family and diamonds – both are forever.
What’s your favourite restaurant to go for a special occasion with the kids?
This year we are heading down to The Café at The Bathers Pavilion in Balmoral – they are very child friendly and not at all fussed if you make any noise! They often escort you when you have the pram through the kitchen so you don’t have to “excuse me excuse me sorry Can I get through ” through the entire cafe! The view is amazing, and our son can have a run around before or after lunch and burn some energy! Lots of boxes ticked.
What’s your favourite local cafe?
Right now I’m walking everywhere in my new swish Joolz pram! Walking to The Greens in North Sydney with kids is so easy and there is a park to play first then we can have coffee and snacks after – delish!
And what’s that one special spot you go for a little ‘me time’?
When I was pregnant I had a treatment at Anahata in Mosman and I’m going back again!! It’s the most amazing sanctuary in Sydney. I cannot wait. Hubby will be around the corner in a cafe with my new born so won’t be far from her if things start going pear shaped for him.
The best thing about being a mum is:
There are many reasons – seeing their little delightful faces learn and discover new things, the love that your child has for you. You are their little world and so it’s a big responsibility to give the best you can! I find it hard to imagine one day your babies will be off and want to leave home….
The hardest thing about being a mum is:
Juggling it all… rarely finishing anything properly without lots of interruptions!
