Two Tales Cafe

Two Tales Cafe is an independent cafe located next to leafy Alexandria Park. Since opening in late August 2016 it has become a local haven for the community – a place to enjoy specialty coffee and great food – from the sunny terrace to our light filled cafe.

Two Tales Cafe works with local quality providers to inform the seasonal menu – from Little Marionette roastery beans to Sonoma bread and Young Henry beers and ciders.

Little ones (whether children or dogs) are very welcome and have a well stocked kids toy nook and even dog treats on the menu.

The ‘husband and wife’ team behind Two Tales are Andres Mardones and Sarah Hurcombe. Chilean born Andres is one of Sydney’s best baristas, having learnt his trade in top coffee shops in Sydney, London and Spain, while Sarah, the Aussie connection, works behinds the scenes to help the wheels run smoothly – as well as the occasional weekend spin behind the register.

Street parking is easily available.

Located in the disabled toilet at the back of the cafe.  You will find a change mat with wipes, nappy bags, baby powder and hand sanitiser if you forget your own. There is even a toddler step with a potty training seat!

Alexandria Park is directly across the road from Two Tales Cafe. You can borrow a picnic blanket from the cafe and take across your food and coffee for a picnic in the park. The playground is hard to see from the cafe, but if you walk all the way around the sporting oval you will find it. There are actually two playgrounds in the park, and both are fully enclosed. It’s all a perfect make-up for a mums day out.

I found this cute little cafe thanks to a hot tip on Instagram. Lunch was delicious. Coffee was great. Staff were so lovely. And there was a really cute little set up for kids in the corner with toys and play mats. My little monster was in heaven. They also had a great setup in the bathroom for when I needed to change him and provided extra wipes, hand sanitiser, bags and a little potty seat for mums who are toilet training! It’s obviously owned by a mum. I also love that it’s directly opposite a park so afterwards we… Read more »
