The original site for Three Blue Ducks restaurants, the Bronte location is all about honest, wholesome food prepared with a whole lot of love. Spread over two spaces with a cool little alleyway between it caters for those wanting an unpretentious meeting space for friends and loved ones. Alongside award-winning sister café-restaurants in Rosebery and Byron Bay you can bank on delicious and exciting food that’s sourced sustainably and served in a relaxing environment.

The Menu at Three Blue Ducks Bronte

Although each of the Three Blue Ducks locations differ greatly in aesthetic, their philosophy and ethos remains very much the same. Their no-fuss way of dining and commitment to buying local and ethically farmed produce makes sees them as frontrunners in conscious consumption and a hit with mums (and dads!) who recognise the love of real food.

At the Bronte location, this can particularly be seen in the cafe’s backyard kitchen garden that is filled with banana trees, herbs, vegetables, beehives and chooks. They also try to minimise waste, using entire vegetables – from the stalks to the leaves – and secondary cuts of meat. This even extends into the Ducklings Menu aka the kids menu!

The cafe draws a large breakfast crowd with its signature scrambled eggs with black sausage, pickled pear, herb salad and toast. Other heroes include Single O coffees; and a Vietnamese Pancake with sweet soy mushroom, Asian leaves, bean sprouts, chilli & nouc cham.

For lunch the menu moves into vibrant salads, seafood dishes and curries. The ever-changing dinner menu is designed to share and is made up of “smalls”, “bigs” and “sweets”.

Now with three celebrity head chefs at the helm, with Master Chef winner Andy Allen joining original Ducks, Darren Robertson and Mark Labrooy, guests can be assured the menu will be second to none.

THE SPACE:

Three Blue Ducks Bronte is a bustling beachside cafe by day that transforms into a charming, smart-casual restaurant by night. When first opened, the founders spent three months stripping back the former convenience store to create the edgy, graffiti-decorated interior with timber tables they built themselves.
