These are some of our top 3 things to do in and around Noosa with the family:
1. Have fish and chips along the Noosa River.
One of the best Noosa family activities would have to be to grabbing some fish and chips at one of the many cafes and restaurants along the Noosa River and heading over to the parklands along the river for a picnic. There are plenty of picnic benches, or bring your own picnic rug.
2. Swimming in the Noosa River
The Noosa River has numerous sandy spots to enter the calm waters of the Noosa River. Unlike most Rivers, given this is close to the ocean, the water here is more like the ocean, lovely and clear, perfect for swimming. And make sure you take a bucket and spade becasue there is plenty of sand for the littlies to build sand castles too.
3. Hire a kayak
Hire a kayak and take the family to explore the Noosa River a bit closer. There are plenty of places along the river that you can hire a kayaks starting at around $20 per hour. You can hire single, doubles or three seater kayaks.
Take the kayaks out to one of the several sand bar islands located around the Spit and enjoy a swim in the beautiful waters only accessible by boat or kayak. The water is calm and not difficult to navigate at all making this a fantastic family friendly activity.
