Sitting on level 4 of the iconic Australian Museum, this 180-seat restaurant boast floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace that overlooks Hyde park and Sydney Harbour.
Head here anytime of the day (no, really), because they’re open for breakfast, which will see you feasting on classics like the William’s Eggs Benedict or a super healthy coconut, chia and quinoa granola with Greek yoghurt. Light snacks, great coffee, lunch boxes for kids and a selection of hot dishes are all available in a friendly, family style environment. We also have to mention that the coffee is by local Sydney roaster, The Little Marionette, which happens to be one of our all time fave brews.
We obviously recommend that you leave it until later in the day, so you can settle in and shamelessly quaff a few wines while indulging in a chocolate molten lava cake or pavlova.
Contrary to what you might think, you don’t have to pay a museum admission fee and wander through spider collections to dine. Enter the museum via its Crystal Hall entrance, catch the lift to level four, and boom — you’ll be checking out cracking views of Hyde Park, William Street and Sydney Harbour in no time. On sunny days, claim a table on their outdoor terrace — a rare find in the CBD.
Numerous baby change facilities are available within the Museum;
Level G: A private baby-care room is located just near our double-door lift, opposite the Skeleton Gallery. A change table is located in the ladies bathroom in this area, too.
Level 2: Baby-change facilities are found in the men’s and accessible bathrooms and a shared parents’ area is available in KidSpace.
