New Farm Park is one of the most epic and popular playgrounds in Brisbane and it’s easy to see why.  The overall park area occupies approximately 37ha of land and sees over 15000 visitors and Brisbane Kids each weekend. But it’s the playground itself that we really love and consists of a fort like tree-house with lots of lovely shade and an extensive bridge walk that winds like a hobbit trail through the beautiful old fig trees that abound the park. It is a climber’s paradise, with a good cover of mulch to protect the inevitable tumbles.  And a double thumbs up comes care of an onsite coffee shop so there is no need to make any extra stops on the way!

The wooden fort playground is completely surrounded by large leafy trees and plenty of grass area to lay down a picnic blanket and relax. There are also plenty of shaded picnic tables available but be warned because it can get very busy over the weekend so get there early to grab a table.

The playground offers swings (including toddler swing), nature play area, musical station, slides, climbing nets, rockers, wobbly bridge, toddlers area, see-saw and so much more!
