Munich Brauhaus Melbourne is all about big food and bigger beers in a really big venue. Another chapter in the long and loud history of Munich Brauhaus since the original opened in The Rocks in Sydney in 1976. Now, even in Melbourne, you can dine drink and party like Oktoberfest never ended, in the 1,000-strong Munich-styled restaurant, located in the heart of bustling South Wharf.
Located in the heritage-listed Allgas Building, you will find the Munich Brauhaus Melbourne located opposite the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, overlooking Melbourne’s South Wharf Promenade and just a short walk to Etihad Stadium!
Similar to it’s not so distant Sydney and Brisbane cousins, the menu pays homage to all things pork, including schnitzels, sausages, pork belly & crispy pork knuckle. Think pork maple and bacon, wagyu beef and cheddar and even extra-long frankfurters – or get things heated with their spicy pork and habanero sausages.
But even if you aren’t a fan of meat, you will still find something to satisfy – from the kids menu aka “The Kinder Menu” and weekend dinner feasts to nibbles and share plates the Munich Brauhaus Brisbane will make you as happy as a pig in mud.
Try and time your visit with when the traditional German Oom Pah band is playing. The kids will love it. But it comes with a warning. It can get a little loud and rowdy so if your little ones get a bit crazy around loud noises then maybe choose an off peak time (when the are no sports games on to watch) to visit.
