Eureka Skydeck

Attraction

Information

Rating

This is the place to see Melbourne at its most impressive – 285 metres above ground.  And it only take 38 seconds to get there. With spectacular floor-to-ceiling, 360-degree views out over the Melbourne Skyline, the Eureka Skydeck is to Melbourne, what the Eye is to London and the Top of The Rock is to NYC.

Breathtaking by day, and stunningly lit by night, Eureka Skydeck is a tourist’s dream and a Melbourne family favourite.

Getting there

Located in the heart of Melbourne, public transport options are plentiful. From Flinders Street Train Station, simply walk five-minutes over the bridge to the other side of the Yarra River. Multiple trams also service the Southbank area, particularly along St Kilda Rd.  It’s also an easy walk from the CBD, Flinders St Station, Federation Square and Crown Casino.

If you are driving, there is an undercover carpark located right beneath the Eureka Tower on the corner of City Road and Southgate Avenue (enter via Southgate Avenue).

Food options at Eureka Skydeck

In the Skydeck there is a small kiosk with sandwiches and hot drinks and casual seating options if you are after just a light snack.  If you are looking for something a little more substantial though and want to make a day of it, check out our top picks for eating out with kids around Melbourne HERE.
