Redefining what it means to visit a caravan park in 2018, the BIG4 Sunshine Resort in regional NSW is an accommodation resort that is just perfect for your next family holiday. Located in South West Rocks, this resort has lots going for it – with luxury accommodation options, fantastic facilities (check out the pirate ship water play area!) friendly Kangaroos and more!
The facilities for kids at the BIG4 Sunshine Resort are arguably the best in NSW; Shipwreck Island Water Park with 4 slides, a tipping bucket and a crying waterfall skull cave, beside a lagoon style pool & toddler pool. There is also an undercover jumping pillow & playground (great for all weather play), a games room, mini golf, half court tennis, movie room all included, and go-karts and canoes for hire.
There’s also a casual cafe located nearby if you’re after a quick morning coffee and snacks.
Accomodation options are varied and range right through from budget to luxury, small to large.
Bring your own “home” and stay on the grass or slab, shaded or open to the sun, near the fun or in the bush powered or ensuite sites.
All of the cabin accommodations sleep at least 4 people, you just need to decide how many bedrooms you want and which view you you would prefer; either the excitement of Shipwreck Island or the Kangaroos!
The new Ngurra lodges are impressively designed to capture the essence of the surrounding forest and wildlife, the highlight is the tree house type emersion created from the combination of the huge glass windows of the second story, the massive eucalyptus forest almost at arm’s length, and the various sounds of the many local birds: a very peaceful way to begin each day.
All accommodation options can fit a cot in the living area but if you want it in the bedrooms with you check out the Kookaburra Cabins 1-3, The Ngurra Lodges and Saltwater Luxury Retreats (19-22 & 27) & it will fit in all 3 bedrooms of the Designer Freshwater Villa (Villa# 28) and in the 3 Cottages it will fit in at least one, if not more, of the bedrooms.
And if you have the whole tribe with you, all of the Cottages have family sized bathrooms which is great if you have a few kids to bath at once.
The BIG4 Sunshine Resort has a year round Kids Club Program that includes:
Kids club is Monday to Friday in the School holidays and on a Monday & Friday outside of School holidays!
Please note children need to be 4 or over to be left at Kids Club, under 4’s are welcome with a parent.
BIG4 Sunshine Resort has their own on site casual cafe, The Full Circle Eatery serving up delicious breakfast, burgers for a classic lunch and a couple of desserts to finish the meal off. You can also enjoy your daily coffee as your kid plays on the playground next to you.
Travel a little lighter and arrange to have groceries delivered to your villa for when you arrive. Also, if you decide to go the camping route, make sure you book one of the Ensuite Powered Sites (the ultimate in Glamping; your own shower, toilet & sink) – great if you have little ones pottie training or are up a bit during the night!
