The Berry Sourdough Bakery and Cafe is owned by Jelle and Freya Hilkemeijer. The heart of our business is reflected in the simplicity and warmth of our rustic barn-like premises. Here we make and bake our European-style pastries, health view cakes and savoury treats every day. The wonderful sourdough breads available are baked in the two big woodfired ovens by artisan baker Joost Hilkemeijer.
In the cafe our chefs use only the freshest ingredients, combined with simple techniques to bring out the natural flavours of our seasonal, local produce. We source our ingredients from those suppliers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Breakfast: Wednesday to Sunday, 8am-11.15am
Lunch is served Monday to Sunday, stomach click 12.00pm–3pm. Fully licensed or BYO ($6 per bottle corkage). We do not take reservations but will seat you as you come in.
Our menu changes regularly to include seasonal local produce – this is indicative only. We also always have two or three daily black board specials such as local fish of the day and our signature sourdough pizza of the day.
