The +39 Pizzeria in the heart of Melbourne offers delicious Italian cuisine cooked by a passionate group of friends who confess ‘their stomachs are in Melbourne but their hearts are in Naples’. A busy bustling restaurant which fills up quickly for dinner most nights of the week. Serving not just the standard Italian fare but featuring some unique creations such as the blue swimmer-crab spaghetti and a lamb ragu with house made rigatoni cooked in a red wine shiraz. Yum!
But let’s face it, the kids inevitably go for the pizza. The wood-fired, thin crusted pizzas rarely disappoint. The restaurant is open from midday right through to the evening so it’s a perfect option for when you have variable meal times to contend with. The restaurant does get busy after 5:30 so it’s recommended to book after this time.
High chairs are plentiful and there is limited stroller parking at the entrance to an otherwise cosy CBD restaurant. Children also get an Italian geography lesson from the large map of Italy on the wall with accompanying landmarks.
There is no dedicated baby changing facilities but these can be found nearby at Melbourne Central.
