Victor is currently working on a project, “Evaluating the Advances and Challenges in Forest Research in Malawi: A Systematic Review of the Past Five Decades (1973 to 2023),” which aims to identify significant gaps in the literature, propose future research directions, and provide recommendations for policy and practice based on historical analysis.

As a Food Systems Analyst, Winnie focuses on the coordination of national and county multi-stakeholder engagement for insights and collaborative action across various subject matters such as post-harvest management, youth in agribusiness, gender equality and social inclusion- GESI for strategy formulation, collective action and development of implementation frameworks complete with feedback mechanisms.

Dominic organizes and facilitates training for women and young people across the agricultural value chain through the Agriculture Technical Vocational Education Training.

Adoko manages projects under the National Seed Trade Association, ensuring the organization meets its targets.

At CABI, Nomsa works on projects focusing on agriculture, the environment, and international development. Her typically revolves around sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, food safety and security, nutrition security, and rural development.

Fred is a PhD student in agricultural and applied economics, majoring in agricultural policy and trade. He is enthusiastic about value-chain development, food and nutrition security, and gender in agricultural development. He is a Regional Extension and Training Coordinator (AVCP -MAAIF and ADB). He leads the coordination, planning, budgeting, reporting, and implementation of AVCP project activities focusing on improving household income, food security, and climate resilience.

Daisy receives, analyses, and compiles subcounty fish-related statistical data in Bungoma County in Kenya. She also undertakes fisheries extension services, maintaining ponds at farms and hatcheries, inspecting fish at fish handling facilities, markets, and farms, and assisting in the promotion of fish markets and value addition.

Samwel collaborates with Farmer-Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Sacco’s to map value chain actors. He uses the Kobo Collect tool to conduct interviews for data collection, meticulously analyze the acquired data, and generate initial reports to inform agricultural practices.

As an advocate for agricultural and livestock enhancement, Lillian focuses on driving policy changes to improve livelihoods. She gathers and analyzes data, providing evidence-based insights for policy decisions. Her documentation of findings, success stories, and engagement of stakeholders ensure impactful practices are adopted.

Jonathan works as a field officer in soil survey and land evaluation in the Department of Agricultural Land and Climate Change Management Services. His Unit engages in coordinating soil surveys across the nation.
